Your summer adventures are about to bigger and better. The second in the two-book series of Eastern Shore Road Trips is set for publication in July. Written by the award-winning writer Jim Duffy, Eastern Shore Road Trips 2 travels along the back roads, into the quaint towns, and out to the sweetest scenes on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia, as well as in Delaware.
The book is being published by Secrets of the Eastern Shore, a local business that celebrates the Delmarva Peninsula in words, pictures, and products. Duffy’s partner in that endeavor is his wife, the photographer Jill Jasuta.
A resident of Cambridge, Duffy has written two previous Secrets of the Eastern Shore books—Eastern Shore Road Trips #1: 27 One-Day Adventures on Delmarva and Tubman Travels: 32 Underground Railroad Journeys on Delmarva. Both books ranked as bestsellers in regional bookstores and on Amazon. Combined, the two have sold well over 10,000 copies–and counting.
The new collection, Eastern Shore Road Trips #2: 25 MORE One-Day Adventures on Delmarva, is organized into five sections: Towns, Islands, The Classics, The Beach, and the Backroads. Each sections contains a number of trips, ranging from down at Savage Neck on the Eastern Shore of Virginia up to the history-laden riverfront in Wilmington, Del.
