Delmarva storyteller Jim Duffy from Secrets of the Eastern Shore and WBOC-TV’s “DelmarvaLife” will spin fun and fascinating tales from Delmarva days gone by on Sat., May 9, 2026 during a “Storytelling and Desserts” party put on by the Delmar Historical and Arts Society. The show starts at 7pm at Melson’s Community Center in Delmar.

A $10 admission supports the Society’s efforts to open a museum honoring the history of “The Little Town Too Big For One State.” To reserve a spot, call 302-846-3641.
Duffy has written six books about the Delmarva Peninsula, including two collections of Eastern Shore Road Trips. His latest book is a collection of inspiring tales, Ordinary Heroes of Old Delmarva. He is a regular on WBOC-TV’s “DelmarvaLife,” telling Throwback Thursday stories with Lisa Bryant and Steve Monz. He’s the man behind the curtain at the popular “Secrets of the Eastern Shore” sites on the web and social media. He will bring a box of books along in case anyone is interested in an autographed copy or two.
