Holiday Music

• The Capital Ringers, a community handbell ensemble, will present a concert titled “We Need A Little Christmas” on Sat., Nov. 20 at the Milton (Del.) Theatre. Details.

• The Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra presents its annual “Holiday Joy Concerts” featuring soprano Rochelle Bard on Thurs., Dec. 1 in Wye Mills, Md.; Sat., Dec. 3 in Lewes, Del.; and Sun. Dec. 4 in Ocean City, Md. Details.

• The First State Symphonic Band will be putting on a Christmas concert on Fri., Dec. 2 in Smyrna, Del. Details.

• The Cathedral Brass Ensemble will put on a family-friendly “Home for the Holidays” concert on Sun., Dec. 4 at First Presbyterian Church of Milford (Del.) as part of the Mispillion Performance Series. Details.

• On Fri., Dec. 9 The Kent Chamber Choir presents its annual Christmas concert featuring Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols” and other works at the Presbyterian Church of Dover, Del. Details.

• On Fri/Sat Dec. 9/10 the Blue Dog Singers return to the Island Theatre in Chincoteague, Va. to present a musical/comedy revue titled “A Blue Dog Christmas.” Details.

• The Orchestra of the Eastern Shore presents its traditional “Christmas at Cokesbuy” concert in Onancock, Va. on Sat., Dec. 10. Details.

• The Eric Mantel Quintet channels “A Charlie Brown Christmas” on Sat., Dec. 10 at the Baby Grand in Wilmington, Del. Details.

• A tribute show titled “It’s a Valli Christmas” is on the bill Sat., Dec. 10 at the Opera House in Smyrna, Del. Yup, Fankie and the Four Seasons. Details.

• Sorry, but it’s gonna be a Blue Christmas for you. The annual “Tribute to Elvis” show by Jesse Garron on Sat., Dec. 10 is sold out. The sad details.

• The Milford (Del.) Community Band will put on its annual Christmas concert on Sun., Dec. 11 at Milford High School. Details.

• The Delmarva Big Band will have four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, a full rhythm section, and a vocalist when it performs Duke Ellington’s 1960 version of The Nutcracker Suite on Thurs., Dec. 15 at the Milton (Del.) Theatre. Details.

White Christmas Bing Crosby• The First State Ballet Company puts on its traditional production of “The Nutcracker” Dec. 16-18 at The Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Del. Details.

• The Virginia Symphony Orchestra presents “Holiday Brass, A Concert” on Dec. 17 in Cape Charles, Va. Details.

• The Irish tenor Anthony Kearns is doing a holiday show on Sat., Dec. 17 at the Ebeneezer Theatre in Easton, Md. Details.

• The First State Symphonic Band will be putting on a Christmas concert on Sat., Dec. 17 in Milton, Del. Details.

The Milford (Del.) Community Band will put on its annual Christmas concert on Sat., Dec. 17 at the First Baptist Church in Dover. Details.

The Rehoboth Concert Band presents its annual “Holiday Peace” concert on Sun., Dec. 18 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, Del. Details.

The Tidewater Singers will perform a holiday show at at Christ Church in Cambridge, Md. on Sun., Dec. 18. Details.

The Nutcracker Ballet• Clear Space Theatre in Rehoboth Beach, Del. puts on “Elf: The Musical” between Nov. 25 and Dec. 11. Details.

• The Second Street Players in Milford, Del. with put on “The Trial of Ebeneezer Scrooge” from Nov 25 to Dec 4. Details.

• The Possum Point Players in Georgetown Del. have a production of “White Christmas,” Dec. 2 to Dec 11. Details.

• See “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” from Dec. 2 to Dec. 18 at the Garfield Center for the Arts in Chestertown, Md. Details.

• This year’s annual holiday show at the Avalon Theatre in Easton, Md. is “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka (the musical).” Performances Dec. 8 to 18. Details.
