Winterfest of Lights in Ocean City, Md.
Nov. 17 to Dec. 31
This is the 30th time around for Winterfest of Lights at Northside Park in Ocean City, Md. Take an outdoor walking tour through incredible light displays. Afterwards, see Santa in the gift shop. Details.
Winter Wonderfest Delaware
Nov. 18 to Dec. 31
This drive-through experience at Hudson Fields near Lewes, Del. showcases lots of different light displays, some of them on local Sussex County themes. Details.
A Longwood Christmas
Nov. 18 to Jan. 8
Located just north of Wilmington, Del., Longwood Gardens puts on a spectacular holiday sho that mixes show mixes outdoor light displays with indoor plantings and decor. The theme this year is “The Art of Christmas.” Details.
Gift of Lights at Dover Speedway
Nov. 24 through Jan. 1
This drive-through affair is brand new this year. Displays will be set up in the Woodlands area of the speedway grounds, with 60 different scenes using 3 million lights sent along a winding, 1.5-mile route. Details.
Starting Dec. 3
More than 200 homeowners and businesses participate in this event. Visitors get a driving tour map leading them on a self-guided tour of decorations. Don’t forget to vote for winners in various categories, including the prestigious “Clark Griswold of Lewes” award. Details.
