There are lots of Christmas performances coming up on the Eastern Shore and in Delaware. Here are fortysome music shows, theatrical productions, dance performances, and film screenings.

• Nov. 30-Dec. 1: The Chester River Chorale presents a Chester River Christmas in Chestertown, Md.

• Nov. 30-Dec. 1: A Holiday Cabaret (with lots of sing-a-longs) will take place at the Everett Theatre in Middletown, Del.

• Sat., Dec. 1: The Avalon Theatre in Easton has a “Motown Holiday Celebration.”

• Sat., Dec. 1: The Harbor String Quartet performs holiday songs at the Palace Theatre in Cape Charles, Va.

• Sat., Dec. 1: The Salisbury/University Chorales perform at Holloway Hall on the campus of Salisbury (Md.) University.

• Dec. 1, 8, 15, and 21: The Front Porch Orchestra presents “A Bluegrass Nutcracker” at locations in Easton, Md.; Milton, Del.; Church Hill, Md.; and Cambridge, Md.

• Sun., Dec. 2: The Southern Delaware Chorale will perform Handel’s Messiah in Lewes, Del.

• Mon., Dec. 3: Caroling on the Circle is a cherished tradition in Georgetown, Del.

• Tue., Dec. 4: The Salisbury (Md.) Pops Holiday Concert will be held on campus at Salisbury University.

• Wed., Dec. 5: The Red Doors Community Christmas Cabaret in Ocean City, Md. features music and dance by local youth.

• Wed., Dec. 5: There will be Caroling on the Green in Dover, Del.

• Dec. 6, 8, and 9: The Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra performs “Holiday Joy, Angelic Sisters” in three different locations–Easton, Md.; Lewes, Del.; and Ocean City, Md.

• Fri., Dec. 7: The Avalon Theatre in Easton, Md. has a holiday show by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

• Dec. 7 & 9: The Easton Choral Arts Society performs at Christ Church in Easton, Md.

• Sat., Dec. 8: The Cokesbury Christmas Music Festival in Onancock, Va. is a mix of caroling and performances.

• Sat., Dec. 8: There will be an Irish-flavored Oiche Airneain (“A Night of Song & Stories” in Gaelic) in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

The Nutcracker Ballet• Sat., Dec. 8: The Salisbury (Md.) Symphony Orchestra will put on a holiday show on campus at Salisbury University.

• Sat., Dec. 8: The Jackson Jubilee Singers are among the performers at the Christmas in St. Michaels, Md. festivities.

• Dec. 8, 9, and 15: The Capitol Ringers handbell choir will perform their holiday repertoire in concerts at four locations–Selbyville, Del.; Berlin, Md.; Dover, Del.; and Milton, Del.

• Sun., Dec. 9: Sankta Lucia is a Swedish celebration of light and music on tap at the historic Old Swedes Church in Wilmington, Del.

• Sun., Dec. 9: The Orchestra of the Eastern Shore of Virginia will perform Handel’s Messiah in a sing-a-long affair at Hungar’s Church in Bridgetown, Va.

• Dec. 9, 11: The Chorus of Dorchester performs one holiday concert in Cambridge, Maryland on Sunday the 9th and another on Tuesday the 11th.

• Fri., Dec. 14: The Vienna Boys Choir will perform in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

• Dec. 14, 15, and 15: The Tidewater Singers perform an “A Capella Christmas” in shows on successive nights in Centreville, Easton, and Cambridge, Md.

• Dec. 14-16: The Milton (Del.) Theatre presents a Streisand & Sinatra Holiday Show. (Scroll down to the dates at the link.)

• Dec. 14-16: Local dancers perform “The Nutcracker” at the Eastern Shore of Virginia Art Center in Belle Haven, Va.

• Sun., Dec. 16: The Rehoboth Concert Band presents a “Holiday Peace Concert” in Lewes, Del.

• Sun., Dec. 16: There will be a Community Sing-A-Long in Chestertown, Md.

• Dec. 21-23: The First State Ballet Theatre presents “The Nutcracker” at The Grand in Wilmington, Del.

• Sat., Dec. 8: The “Christmas Magic Lantern Show” at the Garfield Theatre in Chestertown, Md. sounds pretty incredible.

• Fri., Dec. 14: The name of the variety show on tap this evening at the Milton (Del.) Theatre is “We Three Queens Holiday Drag Show.”

• Dec. 14-23: The Avalon Theatre hosts a community production of “Annie the Musical.”

• Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14, and 21: Classic holiday movies will be shown at the Palace Theatre in Cape Charles, Va. during the town’s Festive Friday events.

• Dec. 1: The Mar-Va Theater in Pocomoke City, Md. has two showings of “The Polar Express,” including a special PJ Party screening in the morning.

• Dec. 1-24: The Premier Cinemas in Cambridge, Md. will be showing classic holiday films during weekends in December.

• Thurs., Dec. 6: The Roseland Theater in Onancock, Va. has a free screening of “Miracle on 34th Street.”
